So finally over my new year's hangover, I popped down to MOMA to see the new space. Room after room of unbelievable, iconic works - but after a couple of hours, even icons can't keep your feet from hurting. I wouldn't recommend trying to do it all in one go.
And while there was something for everyone, I was amused to stumble on a Dan Flavin piece in one of the top floor galleries. Amused since I had stumbled on a story (as usual, registration required!) about him in today's Times, discussing the transition of Flavin's work from being based on commodity off-the-shelf components (light bulbs!) to an endangered species, as the bulbs go out of production, requiring stockpiles or special remakes.

Hope, 1 day old
Just before Christmas, my sister had her second child, named Hope Gabrielle. I was on hand to help out...and record every moment I was there! Of course, every baby has a story and this one is no exception, but I can't post this kind of thing.
