No physics connection here (but I've surprised myself before) but this was a pretty neat experience. A friend and I went down to GlobalFest, a smorgasbord of world music at the Public Theater last night. While there were more than a few things to complain about (too many tickets sold, forcing many of us to wait in various lines *after* buying our not-cheap tickets!), it was a good reminder of the worlds beyond our borders, both political and mental.
